AI and MCP
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Codex to your calendar through herbe ID, or press Ask inside the calendar. It works as you, with your rights, and nothing that reaches an outsider happens without your approval.

Ask instead of click
The assistant uses the same calendar your team uses, so what it finds and creates is real.
What it can do
Look up, create, change and book
The assistant reaches your ERP activities, Outlook, Google, Microsoft To Do and Google Tasks, as far as you have them connected. It asks you back when something is missing, and creates nothing until it has everything.
- Create an ERP activity for planned or actual time, so it can also log work already done
- Every item it creates or changes comes back with a link that opens it in herbe calendar
- With several ERP companies it asks which one; it never picks the first
- Colleagues' calendars show only as much as they share
- Look up
Free time for several people or a favourite, one person's week, one event in full, your tasks, public holidays and your booking links.
- Create and change
Events, ERP activities and tasks, from your own templates if you like. Move an activity to another Kanban stage, add a comment, answer an invitation.
- Book a customer
Book a slot through your own booking link. The template makes the ERP activity, the calendar event and the Zoom meeting, and the customer gets a confirmation.
Example prompts
Things people actually ask
Say it the way you would to a colleague. The assistant finds the customer, project or person, and asks if two match.
- When am I free tomorrow afternoon?
- When are Anna and I both free on Thursday for an hour?
- Create an activity for customer Acme tomorrow 10 to 11, type Meeting.
- Log 9 to 11 today as actual time for customer Acme, type Meeting.
- Set up a Teams meeting with Anna on Friday at 14:00 using my Client call template.
- Move it to 14:00. Add a comment: sent the offer.
- Mark my task Send report as done.
- Which times does my intro call link offer next week?
- Book Anna Ozola from Acme for Thursday at 10:00 through my intro call link.
- Who booked through my links this week?
You stay in control
Approve in the browser, nothing before
When an action would reach someone outside your organisation, or cannot be undone, the assistant gives you a link instead of acting. Open it signed in as yourself, read the whole action and press Approve or Reject.
- Needs approval: an invitation to someone outside your organisation, a change to an event that has outsiders on it, an answer to an outside organiser, a booking for a customer outside your account, and every event deletion
- Inviting colleagues and everything else inside your organisation works without it, except deleting
- Ask the assistant whether it went through, and it tells you how the request ended
- The page shows everything
Every guest address, the title, the time, the notes and the location. If the page cannot show it all, there is no Approve button.
- Only you, once
The link works once, for 15 minutes, and only for you. A link that reaches someone else does nothing.
- Checked again on Approve
If someone new joined the event, or its title or time changed meanwhile, nothing is done.
Connect once
Sign in with herbe ID, add the connector
In Claude or ChatGPT, add a custom connector with your herbe ID address ending in /mcp. In Codex, add it to the configuration file. Sign in with herbe ID and press Allow once. The same connector also serves herbe portal and herbe service.
- The Claude phone app has the connector too, so you can ask by voice
- The AI company receives what the assistant reads, such as titles, times, names and comments. E-mail addresses, phone numbers and personal ID codes are removed first.
- Organisations with forced privacy cannot connect an assistant
- One herbe ID login
You sign in to the calendar with herbe ID, so one login covers the calendar, the portal and herbe service.
- Switched on by an admin
AI is off until an admin turns it on for you in herbe ID. They can also withhold it for a single app.
- Disconnect at once
In herbe ID, under My account and Connected apps, press Disconnect. Access ends immediately.
Inside the calendar
The Ask panel, beside your day
When you sign in with herbe ID, the top bar has an Ask button. It opens herbe assist as a panel next to the calendar, so you can ask without leaving it.
- Drag the panel's edge to make it wider or narrower; the calendar remembers the width
- Who may use AI, and the organisation's key and rules, are set in herbe assist
- Ask or Cmd/Ctrl+J
Open the panel with the button or the shortcut. Esc closes it and returns you to the button.
- Knows what is open
When an ERP activity is open, herbe assist is told which one, so you can say summarise this or move it to tomorrow.
- Your rights, no more
The panel works as you. If you have an Outlook, Google or iPhone event open, it is not told which one.
How to start
Connect the calendar to herbe ID
An admin sets up herbe ID sign-in once, in the calendar's admin settings. Members link themselves the first time they sign in.
Switch AI on
In herbe ID, an admin turns AI tools on for each person, and the calendar for the assistant.
Add the connector and ask
Add your herbe ID address ending in /mcp in Claude, ChatGPT or Codex, press Allow, then ask your first question.
Questions about AI and MCP
Which assistants work?
Claude, ChatGPT and Codex. All three use the same herbe ID address ending in /mcp. Another agent that speaks MCP may connect too, but we have not written steps for it.
Can the assistant delete things?
Only one event at a time, and only after you press Approve on a page that shows exactly what would go. It cannot delete tasks, bookings, share links, favourites or templates, and it cannot cancel a booking.
Does the AI company see my calendar?
It receives what the assistant reads to answer you, such as titles, times, names and comments. E-mail addresses, phone numbers and personal ID codes are removed first. If that is not acceptable, an admin can switch AI off for you in herbe ID.
Can it see my colleagues' private calendars?
No. It sees a colleague's Google, ICS or iPhone calendar only as far as they share it: private, busy, titles or full.
Does it work without an ERP?
Yes for Outlook and Google events and for Microsoft To Do and Google Tasks. ERP activities, customers and projects are there when an ERP is connected.
How do I stop it?
Press Disconnect next to the assistant in herbe ID, under My account and Connected apps. Access ends at once, and you can connect again later.
Ask your calendar a question
We connect an assistant and show what it can do with your own calendar.
