Checklists

A form per kind of machine, filled in on the phone. Readings with an expected range, photos where you want proof, answers saved as they are typed.

herbe service technician app, today's jobs

The right form on every job

Set it up once per kind of machine, then forget about it.

A form per kind of machine

Attach templates to a unit type, and every machine of that type brings its form onto the job.

Limits on the readings

A number can carry an expected range. A reading outside it is flagged for the office, not refused: it is what the machine is doing.

Nothing lost on a bad connection

Answers save field by field as the technician leaves each one, so a dropped signal or a locked screen costs nothing.

Ask what you need, and keep the answers

A template is sections of questions: text, numbers with a unit, whole numbers, dates, checkboxes, single and multiple choice, photos and parts.

  • A photo question can require at least one picture
  • Out-of-range readings and missing required answers show as columns in the approval list
  • Build the form once

Mark questions required, start a long section collapsed, and let the unit type decide which forms a machine gets.

  • Required means required

An unanswered required question blocks Submit, and the list names it with its machine.

  • Readings that add up

Every reading taken on a unit collects on its record, one row per visit, so you can see how it moves.

How to start

  1. Look at a finished checklist

Open the field demo and fill in a form on a machine.

  2. Bring your own forms

Book a demo and tell us what your technicians measure today.

  3. Give your machines a type

A machine with no unit type gets no form, so set the types first.

Questions about checklists

What happens if a machine has no unit type?

No template applies, and the technician gets an empty worksheet. The equipment tree lists untyped machines so you can fix them.

Can a reading outside the limits still be saved?

Yes. The technician sees that it is outside the norm and is told the office will see it marked. The reading saves as typed.

Can we ask for photos?

Yes. A photo question puts a camera button on the question, and marking it required means at least one picture before the job can be finished.

Can we switch checklists off?

Yes, per company. The forms leave the phone and the worksheet, and approval is no longer held up by answers. The data is kept, and comes back if you switch it on again.

Do the answers reach the customer?

A reading carries its range and whether it fell outside into the order's report data, so a Word form of your own can mark it.
